多年来一直从事作物抗旱耐盐生理及分子机制方面的研究工作。围绕棉花的抗旱耐盐生理及分子调控机理这个核心方向开展研究，在主流期刊上发表研究论文60余篇，主持抗旱耐盐相关课题多项，包括国家自然科学基金青年基金（已结题）、国家自然科学基金面上项目（2022年结题）、江苏省自然科学基金3项（结题2项，在研1项）、国家重点研发等国家级和省级项目，授权发明专利6项，审（鉴）定品种7个。
