Hongguang Liu, professor, Ph. B.S. and M.S. from the Department of Urban and Resource Sciences, Northwestern University,
Ph.D. in Human Geography and Postdoctoral Fellow in Ecology from the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences,
and Visiting Scholar at Arizona State University (2018.07-2019.08, School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment).
He focuses on the resource and environmental elements such as energy, carbon, water and land embedded in inter-regional economic linkages, and the scientific issues behind above phenomena, such as pollution transfer, ecological compensation, ecological responsibility, ecological governance, resource and environmental accounting and management. Recently, he has focused on the ecological and environmental effects of green agricultural development and agricultural land use, agricultural carbon emissions and carbon sink accounting, rural planning and rural land resource management. He has presided over more than 10 research projects including the National Social Science Foundation of China, National Natural Science Foundation of China,
Humanities and Social Science Foundation of the Ministry of Education, and Key Project of China Statistical Science, etc.
He has published in Energy Economics, Journal of Environmental Planning and Management, Journal of He has published more than 50 papers,
including more than 10 SCI/SSCI papers, in core journals at home and abroad, such as Energy Economics, Journal of Environmental Planning and Management,
Journal of Cleaner Production, Economic Modelling, China Industrial Economy, Management Review, Economic Geography, Human Geography,
China Population, Resources and Environment, and Ecology Journal.
