主要利用生理生化和分子生物学技术，研究农业资源利用与生态。目前主要从事土壤改良、植物逆境胁迫、绿色防控、植物和微生物互作的研究。相关的研究成果以第一作者或通讯作者已经发表在Pedosphere(2024),Plant Patholygy(2024), Plant Growth Regulation(2024，2014，2015) ，Environmental and Experimental Botany(2022)，Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology(2022)，Planta (2022，2014，2012，2006)，Journal of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition (2021)，Industrial Crops and Products (2020，2016)，International Journal of molecular Sciences (2019)，Frontiers in Plant Science(2018)，International Journal of Biological Macromolecules (2018)，Bioenergy Research (2016)，Journal of Hazardous Materials(2016)，Plant Molecular Biology (2015)， PLOS One（2013，2014），Acta Physiologiae Plantarum (2008) 和Plant , Cell & Environment (2006)等24篇SCI上。授权国家发明专利10项，获得江苏省“六大人才高峰”称号，是江苏省优秀硕士毕业研究论文的指导老师（学术型和专业学位型）。
