主要利用生理生态学和分子生物学手段研究藻类逆境生物学与生物质资源利用。博士期间从事生物能源方面(包括生物制氢、生物柴油)研究。目前研究方向包括:(1)极端环境藻类适应机制;(2)藻类高附加值产品开发(生物质能源、水产饵料、高不饱和脂肪酸等)。承担研究生课程《生理生态学》、《海洋科学概论》。
