主要从事作物生理生态方向教学和科研工作。研究方向为小麦产量和品质形成生理生态机制与量质协调技术、非生物逆境抗性生理生态机制与抗逆丰产技术、资源高效利用的生理生态机制与调控等。先后主持国家自然科学基金、国家重点研发计划、江苏省自然科学基金、中央高校基本业务费项目、农业农村部秸秆综合利用项目、江苏省高产创建项目等20余项。以第一作者或通讯作者发表论文30余篇。
