Jiang Ping is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the College of Humanities and Social Development, Nanjing Agricultural University. She serves as the founding director of the Nanjing Agricultural University Center for Agricultural Ethics Research, deputy secretary-general and secretary-general of the Agricultural Ethics Study Committee of the Chinese Grassland Society, vice chairman of the Science of Science and Scientific Management Research Association of Jiangsu Province (specialized committee on science and technology ethics), member of the Jiangsu Provincial Agricultural History Society, and standing council member of the Jiangsu Provincial Association for the Study of Natural Dialectics. Her primary research areas include agricultural history, science, technology and society, and the history of scientific thought. She has led multiple provincial and ministerial-level projects and published numerous papers in journals such as Studies in the Philosophy of Nature, Research in Science of Science, Communications in the Philosophy of Nature, and Chinese Agricultural History. She participated in compiling one textbook, 'An Introduction to Chinese Agricultural Ethics,' edited by Academician Ren Jizhou for the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs' 13th Five-Year Plan. She has served as an editorial board member for the first and second volumes and associate editor for the third volume of the serial publication Progress in Agricultural Ethics. Her policy consultation reports and policy recommendations have been approved by leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and adopted by the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. The course 'Introduction to Agricultural Ethics,' which she is responsible for, has been recognized as Jiangsu Province's first batch of top undergraduate courses (offline, 2021), provincial top undergraduate courses (blended online and offline, 2024), and the third batch of national top undergraduate courses (2025). She has received one first-class prize in higher education achievements in Jiangsu Province (as the fifth contributor) and one third prize in the provincial micro-lecture competition.
