主要从事作物生理生态方面的教学和研究工作，研究方向是水稻韧皮部同化物转运和籽粒灌浆领域。近五年主持国家自然科学基金2项，江苏省优秀青年基金，国家重点研发计划项目子课题3项，中央高校基本业务费等项目。曾先后在PNAS，Plant Physiology，Journal of Experimental Botany等国际主流期刊发表第一/通讯作者论文，论文受到F1000重点推荐。担任中国水稻科学杂志青年编委，Plants 期刊客座编辑，Plant Physiology，Journal of Experimental Botany等期刊审稿专家。主编江苏省重点教材1部。
