Description of Research Group:

The Applied Mycology Laboratory utilizes edible and medicinal fungi (such as Ganoderma lucidum, Flammulina velutipes, Pleurotus ostreatus, and Lentinula edodes) as research materials, with the goal of cultivating superior varieties of edible and medicinal fungi. Through the extensive collection of germplasm resources, the laboratory investigates the regulation of mycelial growth and fruiting body development, the synthesis and physiological functions of active components such as Ganoderma polysaccharides and triterpenes, and elucidates the molecular basis of their desirable traits.
