主要从事小麦新品种选育/推广、种质资源鉴定及基因挖掘等工作。入选江苏省第六期“333高层次人才培养工程”第三层次培养对象。主持江苏省农业科技自主创新资金、江苏省地方标准项目、江苏省质量强省奖补专项资金等课题8项。研究成果以第一作者（含共一）或通讯作者在Journal of Integrative Agriculture、Plants、作物学报等刊物发表，第一发明人授权国家专利2项（均获转让共20.7万元）。以主要完成人（前三）选育省审/国审小麦新品种11个，转让金额四千六百多万元。
